In this role, you can expect to work 30–40 hours per week, offering steady income and opportunities for growth. Your schedule will vary week to week, based on a combination of manager-assigned shifts and those you pick up through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, making this an ideal opportunity for individuals who are adaptable, dependable, and ready to take on new challenges. Please note that you will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay Rate: $19.08 / Hour
- Age Requirement:
- Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101). Proof of age will be required during the application process.
- Security Experience:
- A minimum of one year of security experience is required (C115). Candidates should provide documentation or references that verify their experience in the security field.
- Branch Flexibility:
- Candidates must demonstrate flexibility in their work schedule, including the ability to work varying shifts, holidays, nights, and weekends (C162). This requirement is essential to meet the operational needs of our branches.
- Reliable Transportation:
- Candidates must have reliable transportation to ensure punctuality and attendance (C163). This is crucial for roles that may require travel to different branch locations.
- Travel Distance:
- Candidates should be aware of the travel distance to the assigned branch and must be willing to commute as necessary (C164). This includes understanding the potential impact on work-life balance.
- Last Minute Shift Scheduling:
- Candidates must be prepared for last-minute shift scheduling (C165). Flexibility and availability for short-notice shifts are important to accommodate the dynamic nature of our operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
- Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
- Sound alarms or calls police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
- Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
- Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
- Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate client requirements
- Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
- Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
Basic Qualifications
- Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
- Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
- Must be able to travel the required distance for Branch Flex assignments.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
