Our internship provides you the opportunity to be a part of a collaborative team that is helping to solve our clients’ most challenging matters. Throughout GDIT’s 10-week Summer Internship Program, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
Our Tax Accountant Internship is designed to make a direct impact on a broad variety of projects and help to co-create and deliver successful solutions to GDIT’s internal and external clients. As a Tax Account Intern, you’ll play a key part in driving company success by providing support to the GDIT Tax Department. You will be trusted to support tax department strategy, planning and compliance functions.
Participates in tax forecasts including liability, cash tax and effective tax rate
Identify/Support tax saving or risk mitigating opportunities
Implement/Manage tax saving or risk mitigating opportunities
Analyze and support tax ramifications of contract proposals
Research jurisdictional tax law and maintains current knowledge of tax laws affecting the company
Analyze and prepare journal entries including income and transactional taxes
Learn how to leverage new tools and technologies
Participates/Assists in business unit financial statement internal and external audit inquiries
Identify/Support process improvements, systems enhancements, and process automation
Various duties that enhance the productivity and procedures of the company
Location: Hybrid schedule to the Herndon, VA office location
GDIT interns are paid and full-time (40 hours/week) for 10 consecutive weeks. Applicants should have a minimum of one semester remaining in their studies after their internship concludes. Take the first step and apply today!

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $19.32 - $26.11. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
