What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of manufacturing and industrial buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
- Carry assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific post orders.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
