Position Description:

Builds and deploys software solutions using Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts including Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines tools (GIT and Jenkins). Develops test automation frameworks according to modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies. Utilizes relational databases and PL/SQL to support database-related testing and automation. Leverages Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and Web Services Test Automation to ensure comprehensive testing of service interfaces. Performs software testing and delivery in an Agile environment. Coordinates in test efforts throughout all phases of the development life cycle to ensure the delivery of high-quality code to production. Works collaboratively to define, implement, and apply best practices and standards, and advocates for continuous improvement. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Primary Responsibilities

• Participates in architecture design teams.
• Defines and implements application-level architecture.
• Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division.
• Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and reviews and validates test plans.
• Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables.
• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms.
• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects.
• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues.
• Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives.
• Advises senior management on technical strategy.
• Mentors junior team members.
• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) automating User Interface (UI) applications and API tests using Selenium with hybrid driven frameworks, Rest Assured, Java, Python, CI/CD and cloud migration in a telematics, logistics and healthcare industry.

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Health Informatics or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) automating User Interface (UI) applications and API tests using Selenium with hybrid driven frameworks, Rest Assured, Java, Python, CI/CD and cloud migration in a telematics, logistics and healthcare industry.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and maintaining manual and automated test plans, cases and defects using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Test Rail, Rally and JIRA Xray; and utilizing Jira or Confluence for requirement management, test planning, scheduling, executing tests and defect tracking.
• DE developing automated test scripts, plans for APIs, and web-based applications including Salesforce and client facing applications using Selenium WebDriver and Rest Assured; creating hybrid automation frameworks using keyword driven and Behavior Driven Development (BDD); and integrating automated test cases with CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins.
• DE developing automation scripts for cloud migration applications and tools including Amazon Web Services, Zuora (payment tool), Salesforce, or APIs; and maintaining test scripts for Managed File Transfer (MFT) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for secure file transfers.
• DE creating and maintaining automation test scripts -- component, integration and functional tests; performing automated testing of front-end, UI, Web services, and DB, using JMeter, Soap UI and POSTMAN; and developing scripts for telematics-based vehicle applications for voice call scripts on (VVTP) application using Python.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model

Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
